Genesee County Republicans Elect New Leadership
New Leaders Cite Commitment to Growth and Technology
Grand Blanc, MI - The Genesee County Republican Party elected a new Chairman and Vice-Chairman during last night's Executive Committee meeting. Fenton Township resident, Randall Thompson, 41, will serve out the remaining 2013-14 term as Chairman for the Genesee County Republicans. His election comes following the resignation of Prudy Adam who has served as Chairman for the 3 terms.
Thompson said, “I am honored and humbled to be elected Chairman of such a passionate and talented group of Executive Committee members. Genesee County is an amazing place to live, work and raise a family. I look forward to working with my fellow Republicans in advocating for conservative principles and sharing our message and our beliefs with fellow Genesee County residents. This election also allows us to refocus our commitment to using technology to reach a greater audience and grow as a local Party.”
Tammy Allen, 31, of Grand Blanc, was also elected Vice-Chairman. Allen said, “It’s not very often an opportunity comes along that allows us the chance to display our passion and talents simultaneously. For this reason, I stand humbled and excited to have earned the trust of my fellow conservatives to whom I am proud to serve. Although I grew up in Genesee County, I have traveled the entire U.S. and can say with much confidence- that we are very fortunate to be part of such a friendly, and unique community. I will be sure to implement fairness, kindness, and respect as I am a firm believer that working together and appreciating one another’s differences will lead to a much stronger Genesee County.”
State Senator David Robertson said, “"I look forward to working with Randall Thompson. As Chairman, his leadership will be instrumental to the growth of the Genesee County Republican party.”
State Representative Joe Graves said, ““Mr. Thompson is an excellent choice to lead the Genesee County Republican Party, and I am very pleased that we will be working closely together in this capacity. He brings a tremendous amount of enthusiasm to the table, and I believe his expertise in political strategy and technology will elevate our organization to a new level.”
Thompson continued, “With Tammy Allen and I being one of the youngest ever elected Chairman and Vice-Chairman of the Genesee County Republican Party, we intend to commit ourselves to focusing on technology through social media and getting our message out to younger people. We have a motivated group of people who are passionate about their beliefs and want to help others truly understand not only what we stand for but why we stand for it.”
