1.      Signage

a.       Desktop and/or 8’ banner for display table or hanging up (Vanessa had some info emailed to her from Sandra on 1.8.10 to get us started)

2.      Brochure

a.       Incorporate RWCA mission statement & purpose of our group into the brochure.  Create a “what’s in it for them” easy to read, flows well, brochure of what we do -  our mission is to educate – our purpose is to ….

b.      Vanessa has a brochure template from the Saginaw group

WE NEED 1 OR 2 COMMITTEE(S) WHO CAN WORK ON DEVELOPING THE SIGN AND/OR BROCHURE.

WE CAN USE WHAT OTHERS ALREADY HAVE IN PLACE – WITHOUT HAVING TO REINVENT THE WHEEL – THE MESSAGE JUST HAS TO BE TWEAKED FOR OUR TASTE       Please Volunteer – we must have this (by Mar 15) for the Governor’s Forum – changes can be made down the road

3.      Jeremy Clontz – Thank You for volunteering to be our new Parliamentarian.  I appreciate you helping us out!!

4.      Vice Prez – you never know what could happen and these are state rules – it’s an easy position – ya smile and hold babies – would someone please step forward

5.      Scholarship Deadline – Dorothy Kabis Internship – gets awarded to 3 young women to work at the capitol in Washington, D.C..  They must be a citizen, over 21 – names must be submitted bu 2/20 to our state President, Nancy Steckler, email:  nsteckler@gmail.com.  Questions – call 703.548.9688.  Please see handout and return to me – there are further qualifications

6.      Website development – we “were” hyperlinked to Genesee GOP, thanks to Al Pool.

Veronica found us via the website, and she is a member.  Al had generously offered his time to set up their website, we well as hook us up.  He would like our input as to what we want advertised on our “link”.  Can someone volunteer to layout a page of info?

e.   On Monday, Feb 8, I couldn’t find a current link; it would be important for us to reinvest some work in opening up this channel of communication

1.      Please email me with your nomination for the state NFRW honoree at the May 15^th dinner in Lansing.  You all received a request from me on this.  I have received a few nominations, but I haven’t heard from enough of you.  This is the award for the Republican women who is active at many levels and goes above and beyond the call.

2.      National Pathfinder & Betty Rendel Scholarships??? Vanessa??? Help

3.      Legislative Day @ Capitol – April 13,  2010, 10a – 4p FREE for RWCA members  Senate Majority Leader Mike Bishop is hosting event for us, including lunch, coffee & water.

a.       Wear red for the group foto after the event on Capitol steps

4.      Received check from Denise Graves for $8 donation toward Governor’s Forum

a.       We received approval from 10 voting members to proceed

b.      Thus far, Prudy, Vanessa and Denise have contributed their pledge

        Can the remaining PLEASE give your checks to Vanessa (our treasurer) this evening, including me.  We need this in order to proceed.

5.      I’d like reimbursement for new HP print cartridges (B&W/Color) that I purchased to print color flyers of the Governor’s forum, for you to distribute, and other meeting print needs.  $38.15

8.      Education – start thinking about speaker’s bureau to educate people on important issues that they would want to hear about

9.      Feb 26, 2010, Training Day event FREE –  to RWCA members – to Lansing – 10a – 4p – Lunch & drinks are sponsored by Dave Hildenbrand.  It will be at the Anderson Office Bldg, Mackinac Rm, 124 N. Capitol.  RSVP me no later than 2/23/10 so lunch arrangements can be made. There is something for everyone.
